Questions and answers
Is The Space therapy?
No. The Space is a non-clinical app for thinking things through, by Rheos Labs LLC. It does not diagnose, treat, or give medical advice, and it is not a substitute for professional care.
Who can see what I write?
Your conversations are stored so The Space can carry your experience across sessions. We do not read them in the ordinary course of running The Space, and The Space is not monitored. Your messages are sent to Anthropic, the AI provider, to generate replies; Anthropic may keep message data for up to 30 days, or longer if a message is flagged. We do not sell your information, and conversations are not used to train AI models. The App Privacy Policy has the full detail.
What does it cost?
There are two plans: Deepen at $39 a month ($390 a year) and Embody at $79 a month ($790 a year). Monthly plans start with a 3-day free trial, one per person. Close Encounters is included in Embody, or a $9 a month add-on per person on Deepen. See what each plan includes.
Can I use it without typing?
Yes. Every text box has a microphone, you can move around the app by voice, and you can have the whole conversation out loud.
Is it for emergencies?
No. The Space is not monitored and is not an emergency service. If you are in crisis, call or text 988, or call 911. You can read how The Space responds in a crisis.
Who is it for?
Adults 18 and older who live in the United States. It isn't available yet to people who live in Illinois or Vermont. Age is confirmed once with a photo of a government ID; we keep only whether you passed and the date.
Is it available in Spanish?
Yes. The Space is available in English and Spanish.
Who made it?
